When the leash is on the collar, all the pull goes to the neck. When it's on the back, your dog can pull with its whole body. Neither one makes it stop.

The leash clips into the ring on the chest. When your dog pulls, it's steered to the side and turned toward you. Dogs quickly learn that pulling doesn't get them anywhere.

Slip the harness over the head, click the buckle around the chest and tighten the straps. Clip on at the front when your dog pulls, on the back when it walks nicely. Grab the handle on stairs and at the car.

Straps at the neck and chest so the harness stays put when your dog turns.
Mesh against the body, padding under the buckles. Sits behind the front legs so your dog can't back out.
Lift your dog into the car, hold on at the stairs, take control in a second.
